PHASE IN FOR  MID-DEL ACTIVITIES AND ATHLETICS

PHASE ONE—JUNE 8, 2020 THROUGH JUNE 29, 2020

On June 8, 2020 Mid-Del School coaches may have face-to-face contact with secondary level students using the provisions provided below. All individual programs must follow normal OSSAA rules and procedures, as well as the following Mid-Del safety guidelines.

WEIGHT ROOM

  • Each person entering the facility must have their temperature checked upon arrival. Any individual with a temperature registering 100.4 degrees or above must not be permitted to stay and cannot return until 72 hours of being fever free.
  • Hands must be washed or hand sanitizer used prior to entering and leaving the facility.
  • Equipment, locker rooms, and restrooms (if opened) must be cleaned daily.
  • Three people maximum on any one piece of equipment.
  • Spotters must wear a mask or cloth face covering.
  • All groups must be a minimum of 6 feet apart; the total number allowed in a weight room must comply with 6 feet between each group.
  • No shared hydrating bottles, towels, gloves, or any other personal equipment is permitted.

GYM/INDOOR FACILITY

  • Each person entering the facility must have their temperature checked upon arrival. Any individual with a temperature registering 100.4 degrees or above must not be permitted to stay and cannot return until 72 hours of being fever free.
  • Hands must be washed or hand sanitizer used prior to entering or leaving the facility.
  • Equipment, locker rooms, and restrooms (if opened) must be cleaned daily. Each person must remain a minimum of six feet apart.
  • No shared hydrating bottles, towels, gloves, or any other personal equipment is permitted.
  • Any equipment used including; weights, balls, bats, helmets, etc. must be cleaned daily.
  • Sports Skill Camp may take place as long as they are sanctioned by OSSAA. Social distancing will need to be enforced.
  • No open gym

OUTDOORS

  • Each person entering the facility must have their temperature checked upon arrival. Any individual with a temperature registering 100.4 degrees or above must not be permitted to stay and cannot return until 72 hours of being fever free.
  • Hands must be washed or hand sanitizer used prior to handling of equipment.
  • Sports Skill Camp may take place as long as they are sanctioned by OSSAA. Social distancing will need to be enforced.
  • Each person must remain a minimum of six feet apart.
  • No shared helmets or equipment worn on the head including face masks.
  • No shared hydrating bottles, towels, gloves, or any other personal equipment is permitted.
  • Any equipment used should be cleaned daily.

SPECIAL NOTE:

  • Marching Band (All Fine Arts) will follow the same guidelines.
  • Parent meetings may take place in person with limitations. Parent meetings held virtually are preferable.
  • Tryouts may take place for fall sports teams, including cheer and pom, but must be in a small organized setting and be closed to the public. Programs with a higher number of participants trying out will stagger try out times alphabetically by last name.
  • No scrimmages or youth camps allowed.
  • Fundraisers/ Golf Tournaments are permitted as long as they are held off-campus.
  • No outside organizations are allowed to use Mid-Del facilities.
  • Physicals from last year will work for summer workouts. All athletes need to get a 2020-2021 physical prior to fall practices.
  • Each program must follow OSSAA rules.

PHASE TWO—JUNE 29, 2020 THROUGH JULY 31, 2020

  • Each person entering the facility must have their temperature checked upon arrival. Any individual with a temperature registering 100.4 degrees or above must not be permitted to stay.
  • Hands must be washed or hand sanitizer used prior to entering and leaving the facility.
  • Equipment, locker rooms, and restrooms (if opened) must be cleaned daily.
  • Youth Camps will be revisited at this time
  • No open gym
  • All participants must be in compliance with social distancing requirements
  • Any equipment used including weights, balls, bats, helmets, etc. must be disinfected after each day.
  • Tryouts are permitted.
  • No shared hydrating bottles, towels, gloves, or any other personal equipment is permitted.
  • During phase two all sports must follow Mid-Del safety guidelines and each individual sports rules per OSSAA.

SPECIAL NOTE: On July 15, 2020 -Unrestricted practice may begin for fast-pitch softball, volleyball, cross country and marching band. Cheer/Pom are year round sports and can also continue practice at this time.

PHASE THREE—AUGUST 1, 2020

  • Tryouts may take place for winter sports teams, but must be in a small organized setting and be closed to the public. Programs with a higher number of participants trying out will stagger try out times alphabetically by last name.
  • Practice may continue for fall sports per OSSAA guidelines.
