The Board of Education named Mrs. Amber Reid as the 2019-2020 Head Principal at Soldier Creek Elementary. Amber Reid was born and raised in the Mid-Del School District and proud to say a “Mid-Del Product”. She attended Townsend Elementary from 1988-1995, Kerr Junior High from 1995-1998, and Del City High School, where she was a Valedictorian graduate in 2001.She attended Oklahoma State University for four years and graduated with honors in 2005, with a Bachelor in Science in Elementary Education. Amber was hired in August of 2005, by her Elementary Principal Celeste Scott, at Highland Park Elementary. She taught 4th grade for four years. She graduated with her Master of Education in Education Administration in 2009, from UCO. Amber was hired in July of 2009 as Assistant Principal at Kerr Middle School and worked five years as Assistant at Kerr. She then became a Carl Albert Titan in 2014 and served as Assistant Principal for three years at Carl Albert Middle School. Amber has been the Assistant Principal at Soldier Creek for the past two years.
Mr. Allen Bellmyer was hired as a new Elementary Assistant Principal during the June Board of Education meeting. He will be joining the Soldier Creek Elementary team for the 2019-2020 school year. Mr. Bellmyer has served as an elementary teacher for the past 14 years in Oklahoma and Alabama. #mdpurpose #oklaed
Ms. Stephanie Cavner was named as a new Elementary Assistant Principal at the June Board of Education meeting. Cavner will join the Highland Park Elementary team for the 2019-2020 school year. Ms. Cavner has been in education for 17 years, including three years as an administrative intern in Putnam City. #mdpurpose #oklaed
Congratulations to Tyler McIntosh for being selected as our newest Middle School Assistant Principal! Mr. McIntosh currently serves as a history teacher at Midwest City High School. He has 3 years of teaching experience and earned his Masters degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Welcome to Ms. Jessica Oaks! She has been named the new Elementary Assistant Principal at Midwest City Elementary. Ms. Oaks is currently the Instructional Specialist on the State Personnel Development Grant for the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Prior to her two years at the State Department, she served as an instructional coach for three years and early childhood teacher for 6 years. She earned her Masters degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Congratulations to Teremun Rider who has been chosen for the position of Instructional Facilitator for Science and STEM. Mr. Rider currently serves at the Instructional Coach at Del Crest Middle School. He has 9 years of teaching experience, earned his Masters degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, and is currently working on his Doctor of Philosophy at the University College London Institute of Education.
Welcome to Tiffany Walker who will be the District's Instructional Facilitator for English Language Arts! Ms. Walker currently serves as an English Language Arts Teacher at Cimarron Middle School in Edmond. She has 11 years of teaching experience and earned her Masters degree from Jones International University.
Congratulations to Taylor Upchurch who has been chosen for the position of Secondary Administrative Intern. Mr. Upchurch currently serves as a Science teacher at Putnam City North High School. He comes to us with 13 years of teaching experience and earned his Masters degree at Southern Nazarene University. Welcome!

Fifth graders from Schwartz Elementary visited the administration office today to present the Living History Museum! The Living History Museum at Schwartz Elementary started in 2006 and continues on today! In 2007, the school received a grant from the Mid-Del Public Schools Foundation for library books and costumes to be used for the Living History Museum. Each year, fifth graders at Schwartz Elementary have a Living History Museum day where the students dress in costumes representing their characters and present their story to school, family, friends, and administrators. Our staff was incredibly excited to see the students today and hear their stories. What a great Friday! #mdpurpose

We are excited to announce registration for our 2nd Annual Mid-Del Senior Conference is OPEN! Mid-Del will be hosting a one-day conference on Tuesday, February 26th that will cover a variety of topics centered around better preparing the Class of 2019 for success after high school. We are also excited to announce that for the 2019 Mid-Del Senior Conference, students will receive all conference info through a Conference App! As the event draws closer, more session and presenter info will be posted through the app! So more info through the app coming soon!
