11:48am Update: Lockdown Has Ended
We have communicated with local law enforcement and they have given us direction to end the lockdown. We will continue our learning day as scheduled. Thank you for your patience and support. We take the safety of our students and staff very seriously.
Good morning Barnes Elementary families.
We wanted to let you know we are currently locked down at our school. A staff member heard what appears to be gunshots near our campus and we decided to lockdown our school while authorities were called. We will remain indoors until we have word from our safety and security team. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available. Thank you.
