2024 NASA SEEC Conference!! Mrs. Combs was chosen to attend this conference as a NASA OKSG participant. She represented all of the Mid-Del schools and her home site, Schwartz Elementary. Teachers from around the world came together for a four day conference learning all about space exploration. During this conference educators participated in different break out sessions where they were able to learn different methods of teaching students all about space exploration with the idea of getting students excited about space and STEM. Mrs. Combs also trained like an astronaut by scuba diving in a pool and completing different challenges that astronauts are required to do in their training. She also went on different tours at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. The goal is to teach students that you don't have to be an astronaut to work for NASA.
