Just over one year ago, the patrons of the Mid-Del School District came together to support a bold vision for the future of our schools, approving a $492,700,000 bond proposal aimed at making significant improvements district-wide. Mid-Del Schools has a scheduled Professional Development Day on Monday, September 16, 2024. There will be no classes for students. Students will return to school on Tuesday, September 17. #mdpurpose

Mid-Del Families, We want to inform you about recent social media threats of violence directed at multiple secondary schools in the metro area and across the state. Our staff, along with local authorities, are thoroughly investigating the sources of these threats, and while they have been deemed to be of very low credibility, we feel it’s important to keep you informed. Rest assured, our schools remain safe, and all safety protocols are in place. Unfortunately, these types of social media threats have become more common, but they are still taken very seriously. Each threat will be fully investigated, and those responsible for making or sharing such threats can face severe consequences. We encourage you to talk to your student(s) about the responsible use of social media. As always, if you see something concerning, please report it to our administration immediately to ensure proper investigation. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. Thank you for your continued support. Update: At this time, no Mid-Del Schools have received a threatening message. We appreciate the families who have seen social media posts and have shared them with our schools.

2024-2025 Clear Backpack Requirement for Grades 6-12 In an effort to improve the safety measures currently in place, Mid-Del Public Schools will require all students in grades 6-12 to carry clear backpacks. Additionally, the maximum size for non-transparent bags that students are permitted to carry during the school day will be 5.5 inches x 8.5 inches.

Weather Update May 6, 2024: Evening Activities Canceled In collaboration with the National Weather Service, Mid-Del officials have made the decision to cancel all evening activities today out of an abundance of caution for our students, families, and staff. Mid-Del Technology Center has canceled evening classes. Latchkey and Boys & Girls Club programs have also been canceled for tonight. We understand the importance of safety, and we want to ensure everyone remains safe during potentially inclement weather. Our top priority is always the well-being of our school community. We will continue to monitor today's weather closely and will notify our families promptly if any changes occur to our procedures.
