Good morning, Del City High School families,
This morning, local law enforcement received messages regarding a possible threat involving our school. Out of an abundance of caution, Del City High School was briefly placed on a Secure Hold, meaning students and staff remained inside the building while instruction continued as normal, and no one was allowed to enter or leave.
After working closely with law enforcement, we do not believe the messages pose a credible threat to our school.
We are grateful for the swift response and continued support from local law enforcement, and we appreciate the cooperation of our students, staff, and families as we worked through our safety procedures.
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with families if additional information becomes available.
