Good afternoon, Del City High School families.
A threatening call regarding Del City High School was made to the 911 Call Center this morning. The Del City Police Department immediately began working with school officials to investigate the threat and provided additional security at the school throughout the day.
Following the investigation, police determined the threat was not credible. A juvenile was arrested, and charges will be presented to the appropriate authorities.
We want our families to understand that any threat involving a school is taken seriously, even when there is no validity behind the statement. Every threat will be investigated and treated as a potential safety concern.
We need our families' help. Please remind your students that the words they use matter. Threatening statements can create fear, disrupt a school, involve law enforcement, and result in serious consequences.
