Setting up a Canvas Parent Account

With a Canvas Parent account, you can...

  • Contact your student's teacher directly from the app

  • View assignment descriptions and due dates

  • Set reminders for assignments

  • View assignment details and grades

  • View course grades

  • Set grade alerts

  • View course announcements

Setting up Canvas Parent

  • Download the Canvas Parent app. There are 3 different Canvas apps. Canvas Parent is the one with the blue logo.

  • Click Find School

  • Type Mid-Del then select Mid-Del Public Schools 

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Canvas Login for Mid-Del Parents (Observer)

  • Select Create Account at the bottom 

  • Enter your information until you get to the Student Pairing Code. 

  • Enter their Pairing Code and click Start Participating

Finding your student’s Pairing Code

  • Have your student log into their Canvas account

  • On the upper left hand side of the screen select Account  

  • Click on Settings

  • On the right-hand side of the screen about halfway down select Pair With Observer
