Mrs. Lamb is always there to take care of our Bluejays—whether it’s bandaging up bumps and bruises, checking temperatures, helping with broken bones, illnesses, and many other health-related needs. She handles it all with kindness, patience, and a calm, caring presence.
Our students know they can count on her as a trusted and comforting face when they need it most, and we are so grateful for the care she provides every single day.

Today we’re giving a big shoutout to our amazing Barnes Elementary cafeteria team for School Lunch Hero Day! 🎉
These wonderful ladies do so much more than prepare meals—they greet our students with smiles, show kindness every day, and keep our lunchroom running smoothly from start to finish. Their hard work and care truly make a difference for our Bluejays!
Yesterday brought some extra fun when students were surprised by a special visit from the “Lunch Lady” character as she stopped by classrooms for lunch count—there were lots of smiles and excitement! 😄
Our students also shared their appreciation by creating notes and posters to thank our incredible cafeteria staff for all they do to feed and care for our Bluejays each day. 💌

Pajama Party Performance!
Our 1st grade Bluejays did an amazing job performing their play “Pajama Party!” There was lots of singing, dancing, and big smiles as our students showed off all their hard work.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Curren for all the time and effort she put into teaching and practicing with our 1st graders—your dedication truly showed! 👏✨
To make the day even more special, our entire school joined in by wearing pajamas to support our performers! 💙

Our Bluejays had an amazing time at the Glow Lunch—they absolutely loved it! 😄✨
A huge thank you to our PTA for providing this fun reward after helping raise over $3,000 during Battle of the Coins for our school! We are so grateful for all the support that makes experiences like this possible.
Thank you as well to all the volunteers who helped bring this event to life. We truly have the best community at Barnes! 💙💛

Our staff got creative for “Anything But a Cup” Day, sipping their drinks from all kinds of unusual containers — definitely a sight to see! 🥤😂
To keep everyone on their toes, our announcements were flipped — the good morning message played at dismissal and the dismissal announcement started our day! 🤪
Our Bluejays were entertained all day long, and it was clear that a great time was had by all! 💙✨

We are proud to announce that our Barnes Bluejays Debate Team earned the title of Grand Champion!
Our students worked incredibly hard preparing their arguments, presenting strong pros and cons, and responding to thoughtful questions with confidence and respect. Their dedication, teamwork, and critical thinking truly paid off!
