We’re thrilled to announce that our amazing gym teacher, Mr. Fleming, has been named Barnes Teacher of the Year for 2025–2026!
Mr. Fleming is always there to help out — often without even being asked — and continually goes above and beyond what’s required. He brings energy, kindness, and dedication to everything he does, making PE a place where students have fun while learning discipline, teamwork, and respect.

Our 5th grade Barnes Bluejays did an outstanding job during the Veterans Day performance! Their heartfelt songs and thoughtful presentation showed great respect and appreciation for those who have served our country.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Curren and our Bluejays for all of their hard work and preparation in making this such a meaningful event. It was a wonderful way to come together as a school to honor and thank our Veterans.

Mrs. Richardson’s Kindergarten class had so much fun making Rangolis! Rangolis are beautiful designs made on the floor using colorful materials like rice, sand, or flower petals. They are a traditional art form from India, often created to celebrate festivals and bring good luck.
Our Bluejays loved expressing their creativity while learning about this vibrant cultural tradition!

This morning our staff came together for a special breakfast to celebrate one of the best — Mr. Becker! We’re so grateful for his leadership, kindness, and the way he goes above and beyond every single day. Whether he’s dressing up and reading to the kids, walking students to class, making sure everyone feels welcome and valued, or even getting globs of food smashed on him for a good cause, Mr. Becker tackles everything that comes his way with a smile and a big heart.
We’re lucky to have a principal who truly leads with care and makes our school such a special place!
