Welcome to the new Carl Albert High School Athletic Director and Head Football Coach, Mr. Mike Dunn! Dunn will be returning to his roots as a Titan. Dunn will be taking the reigns after Mike Corley announced his decision to step down from his position as Carl Albert Athletic Director and Head Coach this past month.
“First, I want to thank the Del City High School administration, especially principal Gina Hill, for the past four years of unparalleled support and guidance. Most importantly, I want our student-athletes to know how much I appreciate their attitude, effort, and commitment since we stepped foot on campus. The coaches and student-athletes at Del City are first-class, and the best is yet to come for Eagle Nation. I started my family during my time at Del City High School. I became a husband to a phenomenal bride, and a dad to two wonderful kids during my time as an Eagle. This school HAS and ALWAYS will hold a special place in our hearts. With that being said, I will forever have a great deal of gratitude to all of the stakeholders of Del City High School.
Accepting the athletic director/head football position at Carl Albert High School is my career coming full circle. I started my coaching journey at Carl Albert in 2003 and every stop since then has led me back to my roots. To walk the same sideline as Jim Harris, who coached my dad in high school, Al Miller, Jack Pebworth, Gary Rose, and Mike Corley is surreal to think about. This is a great responsibility – to carry on a tradition of excellence in building young people through athletics and football at the high school that prepared me for life. It is truly an honor to be entrusted with the legacy of such a special place. The best way one can honor a legacy is by adding to it, and I can’t wait to join this amazing staff of administration, teachers, and coaches in leading our Titans to continued success. To principal Kristin Goggans, I am grateful for this opportunity. To our student-athletes, I can’t wait to begin this journey with you. Once a Titan, Always a Titan!”
