Dear Parents and Guardians, We are excited to welcome our students back for a great school year! If you have not yet started your online enrollment, please know that your child will not be allowed to attend class or school until the enrollment process is complete. If enrollment is completed today after 4:00 p.m., your child will still not be able to attend class tomorrow. This is because we need at least 24 hours to review and verify all documents, and during the school day, our focus will be on supporting the students already in the building. Completing your online enrollment as soon as possible will make sure your child has a smooth start and does not miss valuable instructional time. The Board of Education named Mrs. Amanda Bennett as Head Principal at Del City Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year during this morning's meeting. She served as Assistant Principal this past school year for the Panthers. A proud graduate of Del City High School, Amanda has dedicated 14 years to the education field, with 9 of those years spent serving in various roles at Mid-Del Schools. Her experience includes serving as a Special Education teacher, early childhood teacher, fifth-grade teacher, school counselor, Title I Interventionist, and Assistant Principal. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education, as well as her Master of Science in Educational Administration, from Grand Canyon University. She is deeply committed to making a positive impact in the lives of our students and staff. In addition to her incredible professional journey, Amanda is married to Cameron Bennett, the Head Football Coach at Moore High School, and together they have two wonderful children, Aliya and Creed, who are proud Mid-Del students. We are excited to see all the amazing things Amanda will continue to accomplish as she steps into her new role! #mdpurpose

Dr. Bannister stopped by yesterday to recognize Mr. A.J. for being an outstanding educator. He received this award from the Teachers Appreciation Foundation. You are Awesome Mr. A.J.!

Current Mid-Del Families, It’s time to begin Phase 1 of the enrollment process for the 2025–2026 school year! Phase 1 opened at 8:00 AM on Monday, April 21, 2025, for all current Mid-Del students—especially those moving to a new school site as they advance from elementary to middle school or middle school to high school. You should have received an email on April 21 containing your child’s Snapcode, which is required to complete re-enrollment. This step allows you to verify and update your student’s information, including contact details and residency. Important: You must have your student’s Snapcode to begin. If you do not receive your Snapcode, please contact your student’s school directly. Once Phase 1 is complete, you’ll be ready for Phase 2, which begins July 15 and includes submitting your updated proof of residency. 2024-2025 School Calendar Update! The Board of Education approved a change to the 2024-2025 District Calendar during tonight's Board of Education meeting. Mid-Del will be using the Snow Day originally scheduled for May 2, 2025, as a regular instructional day. That means students and staff WILL be in school on May 2. Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly—thank you for your flexibility and support! #mdpurpose

🚨 Weather Update – After-School Activities Canceled for April 1, 2025🚨 We’ve been closely monitoring the forecast and have participated in NOAA webinars and briefings from the National Weather Service. Due to the potential for severe weather later today, all after-school programs and activities are canceled for Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Classes will continue as scheduled, but we are taking extra precautions to ensure everyone's safety this afternoon. Latchkey services are also canceled after school.
