🚨 Weather Update – After-School Activities Canceled for April 1, 2025🚨 We’ve been closely monitoring the forecast and have participated in NOAA webinars and briefings from the National Weather Service. Due to the potential for severe weather later today, all after-school programs and activities are canceled for Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Classes will continue as scheduled, but we are taking extra precautions to ensure everyone's safety this afternoon. Latchkey services are also canceled after school. Hello Parents! Hopefully, Jack Frost is done with us!!! 5th grade parent enrollment night will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 6 pm in the main gym. A short presentation will begin promptly at 6:15 to allow time for families to tour the 6th-grade center. Come out to tour the school, meet teachers, counselors, and administrators, and see what activities are offered to your new middle schooler! We can not wait to welcome the class of 2032!

Wednesday, February 19, 2025 Good afternoon Mid-Del - I hope you've all been able to stay safe and warm these last couple of days. Things are looking up. We aren't supposed to get any more precipitation, and tomorrow morning's wind chill should only dip down to negative five! Yeah, that's pretty bad still. The roads are still sheets of ice. Our parking lots and sidewalks are a mess. Hopefully tomorrow, we will have a chance to start clearing some of the slick areas. Because of all of this, we will have another Remote Learning Day tomorrow, February 20, 2025. Hopefully (fingers crossed) we will be able to be in school Friday. Until then, stay inside if there's any way you can. Don't take any unnecessary risks. We'll get back to teaching and learning soon enough. Sincerely, Dr. Rick Cobb

With the uncertainty surrounding school schedules this week, we have decided to postpone Parent-Teacher Conferences to Tuesday, February 25, and Thursday, February 27 to ensure all families have the opportunity to connect with teachers in a safe and productive way. Mid-Del Families, Mid-Del administration has been in continual contact with the US National Weather Service in Norman, Oklahoma, regarding the winter weather forecast and the travel and safety concerns expected this week. In addition, we have been following our meteorologists on local news stations who share similar concerns. For the safety of our students and employees, Mid-Del Schools will have Remote Learning Days on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, and Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Please check your school's website for the Remote Learning schedule at www.mid-del.net. * Mid-Del Technology Center will not have classes on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. MDTC will not have (DAYTIME) classes on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Please check our MDTC socials for information about Wednesday, February 19th, evening classes. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we prioritize everyone's well-being and safety. Stay warm and stay safe!

National School Resources Officer Appreciation Day is on February 15! DCMS loves Officer Neal and wants him to feel appreciated! He doesn't just keep us safe; he is also a safe person our staff and kiddos trust!

Parents, we are so sorry! Mother Nature had other plans. Once a new date is determined, it will be communicated. Please keep an eye out on the website and social media. Next week, we have more potential weather delays and parent-teacher conferences, so a new date will be determined after these events.

Due to projected inclement weather for tomorrow, making early morning transportation more dangerous, Mid-Del Schools will be closed Thursday, February 13, 2025. This will be a traditional snow day and students will not have remote learning. We will not need to make up this day later in the year. * Mid-Del Technology Center daytime classes are canceled.
