Jet Monthly News

Hello Jet Families!

\r\n

We are so excited that school is back in session and things are in full swing! We would like to extend a special welcome to all of our new Jets! We are SO GLAD you are at MCE! We hope your transition has been positive and that you grow to love life as a Midwest City Elementary Jet!!

\r\n

This year we are so fortunate to be able to add another incredible assistant principal to our team! Please join me in welcoming Dr. Stephanie Cavner to our Jet family! We have also added another fabulous counselor, Mrs. Tina Mays. We are so excited to have them both here.

\r\n

We would like to thank all of our families who were able to make it to our parent night a little over a week ago. I hope you gained some valuable information about our school and from your child's grade level that will help him/her be successful this year. If you were unable to attend, all students will receive a MCE student handbook soon that will provide some of the information discussed.

TARDIES AND EARLY CHECK-OUTS

\r\n

Please make sure your child is getting to school on time everyday! Please make sure your child is getting to school on time everyday! We start our instructional day right away at 9:00am! In a couple of weeks, we will begin our school-wide intervention & enrichment time at 10:05am. This is a very important time of day when your child receives targeted, individualized instruction based on their academic needs. We need students in class on time! Remember, three tardies OR three early check-outs equal an absence! Also, limit check-outs close to dismissal time.

\r\n

DEVICE PROTECTION PLAN

\r\n

Mid-Del Schools is so fortunate to be able to have a one-to-one student device ratio! Students in grades PK-3 have access to an iPad and students in grades 4-12 have access to a laptop! It is truly a wonderful thing that our district can provide devices to enhance student learning.

\r\n

At MCE, your child will have access to a variety of computer- based programs to supplement learning in the classroom and at home. Your child's teacher will share access to with you as these programs become available.

\r\n

Mid-Del is offering a device protection program to families. Please check out the info below or click HERE for more info!
