We encourage our students, staff, and community to wear purple on Monday, April 15th for Purple Up! for Military Kids Day! Purple Up! For Military Kids is a day for communities to wear purple to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices. Purple indicates that all branches of the military are supported; Air Force blue, Army green, Navy blue, Marine red, and Coast Guard blue all thought to combine together as a single color, purple. #mdpurpose #militarypride #purpleup

PreK and Kinder, along with 4th and 5th grade ORFF members, fantastically performed a creative rendition of Going on a Bear Hunt - Going on a Test Hunt! Pleasant Hill's littlest crew used movement and beats to enact a search for the test! They swam through Reading River, climbed the Math Tree, walked through the Writing Wheat Field, and bravely searched the Science Cave where they discovered a larger-than-life Cardinal who encouraged students to get rest, exercise, eat well, study, and follow school procedures and expectations to be prepared for state testing. Ms. Holloway followed the trek with an original rap that rocked the house!

Thank you to the Metropolitan Ralph Ellison Library and children's librarian, Saidah Yakasai, for hosting 2nd grade Cardinals on Tuesday. You put a spring in our step as we explored all that our local library has to offer! We enjoyed a cultural and book planting read aloud, took a fun tour and discovered special library features, predicted the outcome of a seed story, and planted seeds ourselves! Thank you, Ms. Saidah, for planning such a phenomenal bouquet of activities to ring in spring!!!

We will notify our families of important information through the following methods: * Phone, Text Messages, and Emails to our Families * Mid-Del website www.mid-del.net * District social media sites * Local media outlets
