Weather Update May 6, 2024: Evening Activities Canceled In collaboration with the National Weather Service, Mid-Del officials have made the decision to cancel all evening activities today out of an abundance of caution for our students, families, and staff. Mid-Del Technology Center has canceled evening classes. Latchkey and Boys & Girls Club programs have also been canceled for tonight. We understand the importance of safety, and we want to ensure everyone remains safe during potentially inclement weather. Our top priority is always the well-being of our school community. We will continue to monitor today's weather closely and will notify our families promptly if any changes occur to our procedures. Thank you to our Serving our Students (SOS) Officers and Team Members who led our last Cardinal Connection of 2023-24 school year! The 5th Grade classes also joined in the festivities by engaging us in a skit and rap called "The Big Break." There was cheering, inspiring, and chanting to be had by all! Cardinals and families were delighted by the encouragement to enter our BIG SUMMER BREAK by eating healthy, relaxing, reading, playing, and exercising.

The 5th grade classes will enjoy a BBQ sponsored by the school on TUESDAY, May 14th from 12:00-3:00pm. This will be for students only to cheer about their accomplishments and successes this year. See flyer for details.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day! Thank you to Mrs. Melissa and Ms. Cudjoe for being our consummate administrative professionals who meet every need, seen and unseen, rise to every occasion, come to the rescue, and love every staff member and student in our school! Happy Administrative Professionals Week to our favorite secretaries - Ms. Cudjoe and Mrs. Melissa! They are the epicenter of our school, keeping us moving with support, courage, and love! We could not function without them - the heartbeat and the pulse.

Friday, April 19th, is Popcorn Day. $1 for a small and $2 for a large. Proceeds go to purchasing items for our student store, where students shop with their Cardinal Cash. Students earn Cardinal Cash for displaying trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, caring, citizenship, and fairness.

1st and 2nd Grade Families: Our Science Museum Field Trip is tomorrow, April 16th. We will be leaving shortly after attendance is taken at 9am. Please be on time for school so your child can make the bus! Also remember your labeled sack lunch if you chose to bring your lunch from home. It will be a super fun STEM day!

State Testing Roadmap of Success #mdpurpose

Oklahoma City's Lyric Theater traveling troupe took Cardinals on a kingdom adventure on March 8th. Actors performed a literary tale of Cinderella, teaching plot while acting out the elements. Students participated in crowd pleasing chants, answered questions, and some were invited to the Prince's Ball! Thank you to OKC Lyric Theater for bringing the arts to the Hill in royal accord!

Monday, April 15th, is Purple Up! Day. Wear purple in honor of our Mid-Del military kids.
