Happy Birthday Johnny Appleseed! Mrs. Watson's class got to try an apple pie, color, and build our sentence that says “An apple pie.” They also rolled a dice and colored the apples that matched the number rolled. 🥧 Pre-K has mastered making learning FUN! 🍎🍏

We would like to thank Del City High School Softball for greeting our students this morning. They started Fun Friday off with a bang of energy. ⚡️ Our Mustangs LOVE getting high fives from their Eagle friends. 🦅❤️

Thank you to Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages for their donation of snacks and treats this morning. These will be used to keep students energized and ready for learning. We are so grateful for their generosity and kindness! ❤️

Mr. Ray's class recently did an experiment with solids, liquids, and gases. In connection to their story "Many kinds of matter" students put their STEM lab skills to use. The experiment consisted of putting water and alka seltzer in an empty glue stick. After a few seconds, the water and tablet caused gas to build up and "POP" the cap off towards the sky. We were very impressed by their attention to steps and safety. 👩🏻‍🔬🧑🏽‍🔬

Mrs. Watson's class has had lots of learning and fun with centers this week. These mini Mustangs are getting better and better with procedures and routines. 🤩

Our Abilities students took a field trip to the grocery store this morning! This week they've learned the process of making pancakes, following a recipe, and cleaning up. 🥞 They were responsible for planning their list, shopping for their ingredients, and checking out. 💵 These Mustangs learned valuable life skills today and we are so proud! 🛒

Mr. Chris' class recently did reports on the bug of their choosing. They had to research, document, and share their findings with their peers. As well as, they've put those science skills in action looking into a microscope. 🔬 Great job, Mustangs!

Ms. Nicky's Pre-K class has been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly.🦋 They've watched caterpillars grow, shed their cocoons, and transform into beautiful butterflies! To go along with their lesson, some students made bug collections to share in class. As well as, they've created butterfly artwork and done insect themed activities on their iPads. We're impressed!

Please see information for our upcoming Book Fair! 📖 During the school day, students will be allowed to use cash to purchase items, or you can load money into their e-wallet. Their class will have a scheduled time to visit. Book Fair will also be open during Parent/Teacher Conferences, but no cash can be accepted. Please come prepared with a debit card, credit card, e-wallet, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

We hope you'll join us in celebrating College and Career week! See attached graphic for EHES dress up days. Mark your calendars! 🗓️

It’s a great morning for a morale boost! ☀️ Once a month, this beautiful cart stops by every EH door. A snack and drink are the perfect teacher fuel for a Monday! We're thankful for this staff and all the work they do each day.

Thank you Del City Fire Department for spending time with our Mustangs this morning! Ms. Shaw and Mrs. Grady's class were great listeners while our special guests read to them. We're grateful for this partnership! 🚒📚

Students in Mrs. Watson's Pre-K class are working hard today! Through number sense activities, they're practicing all the ways to write, count, and visualize 1, 2, and 3. Very impressive! 🔢🩷

These 1st grade friends spent recess picking up trash on the playground! We are impressed by their leadership and commitment to our campus. 🌳 Good job, Mustangs! 🤩

Thank you to Officer Vincent and Captain Taylor for visiting with Mr. Hodges' and Ms. DeJane's class this morning. 🚔 Our students had a wonderful time listening to "The Good Egg" and learning what a police officer does. They also received a junior police officer sticker.👮🏻 We are extremely grateful for our partnership and excited to welcome them once a month for guest reading! 📚
