It's been a busy week at Epperly Heights! Del City Police Department and Mrs. Rice collaborated on a Red Ribbon Week presentation for our 4th and 5th graders. This lesson educated students on the dangers and impact of drug use. Through clear visuals and thoughtful conversations, students were able to discuss the ins and outs of safe decisions and healthy futures. We are so grateful for the time spent in our classrooms and the impact this will have on our Mustangs.

Mrs. Royal's class did a little experiment recently! Students have been learning about electrical, sound, and light energy. 💡They've also learned that energy can be transferred and change forms. By connecting the wires from the battery to a buzzer and light bulb, they were able to apply the knowledge that the current will only flow through a closed circuit. 🔋 We are impressed! ⚡️

We're starting a farm! Just kidding.. but we really do have chickens! Ms. Nicky and Ms. Meek's classes have hatched baby chicks. Starting as just an egg, they watched them break out of their shells, learn to walk, and heard their chirps. They've done baby chick themed activities and had opportunities to care for their (temporary) class pets. These Mustangs are making memories to last a lifetime.
