Yesterday our first grade students were invited to watch a play at Oklahoma Children's Theater.
They saw “A Sick Day for Amos McGee” based on the book by Philip C. Steed, the 2011 Caldecott Winner for distinguished American Picture Book for children. They first got to read the book with Mrs. Looney, then received the immersive experience with Oklahoma Children's Theater.
Afterwards, they had a picnic and got to play at the park. As you can see in these pictures, they had a blast!

Our Abilities classrooms have been having loads of fun the past few weeks. Ms. Bruce's class put letters in action with "O is for ocean". They made an ocean themed treat with graham crackers, icing, and goldfish! 🌊🐠 Mr. Chris' class celebrated Pi day on the 14th with themed learning activities and a pie tasting party. Afterwards, students got to pie a teacher in the gym. 🥧
