Mrs. Manning's 4th graders recently completed research projects. Requirements involved investigating all components of their animal, writing a multi-sentence report, and presenting their findings to the class. They bravely stood in front of their peers, principal, assistant principal, counselor, and teacher to share all they learned. These Mustangs did a fantastic job!

We would like to thank Del City Fire Department for visiting with our Pre-K and Abilities students this morning! They did a presentation on what firefighters do, explained their gear, and raced to put it on. Then, students had the opportunity to walk around the trucks and see all the moving parts of fire engines. 🚒 We're grateful for this partnership and all the time DCFD lends to our building. 🧑🏼‍🚒👨🏾‍🚒

Mr. Ray's class recently did an experiment with solids, liquids, and gases. In connection to their story "Many kinds of matter" students put their STEM lab skills to use. The experiment consisted of putting water and alka seltzer in an empty glue stick. After a few seconds, the water and tablet caused gas to build up and "POP" the cap off towards the sky. We were very impressed by their attention to steps and safety. 👩🏻‍🔬🧑🏽‍🔬
