Epperly Heights was excited to make all the signage and cards for @Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home and Cemetery's, Veteran's Day event!
Check out our previous post for pictures of all the beautiful signs our students collaborated on. As well as, if you would like to see the posters in person, pop in to their event tomorrow! They're offering hot dogs to attendees, thank you cards, and specials for all Veterans and their families. We appreciate the opportunity to spread Mustang art in our community.

Big congratulations to our Teacher of the Month, Ms. Drake!
Ms. Drake brings a fresh, creative, and enthusiastic perspective to our building. She serves as a safe space to her 2nd graders and all who pass her room. We are thankful for the role she plays and excited to celebrate this win! Thank you to Jason Bannister and the Mary Bannister Foundation for providing her recognition and gift!

It's a great day to celebrate our Veterans! Students and staff gathered in the gym to celebrate those who have served our country. 🇺🇸💙
Great job to our choir students who sang, 5th grade helpers for doing a skit, and all students who participated in pledges and songs. As well as, Mustangs across multiple grades collaborated on posters and "Thank you" cards for us to share. We are proud to support Veterans at Epperly Heights.

We know it's early, but for those who like to plan ahead.. here's a first look at our Winter Dress Up! 🎁🎄We'll be sure to share a reminder the week before. ❄️

We are excited to report we've received 100% of our federal survey cards back! We want to give a big shoutout to our Mustang families for their attention to this task! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We're excited to present.. EH TEACHER OF THE YEAR!! Congratulations to our very own, Mrs. Mitchell!
We are grateful for the standard of compassion, patience, and integrity she brings to our building. She serves as a pillar of character, honesty, and love to all who know her. Join us in celebrating this well deserved win!💚🐎

It's harvest day for Garden Club! These students have worked very hard planning, planting, and watching their garden grow. 🧑🏽🌾👩🏻🌾
Today, they got to see the fruits of their labor. Excitement was at an all time high as they dug up each row of veggies. We are so proud of these Mustangs and grateful they've had the opportunity to learn this skill. 🌱🫛🥔🥕🧅

It is School Psychologist Appreciation Week! We are very grateful for Ms. Smith and the work she does each day. A School Psychologist works closely with students, parents, and teachers to advocate for children with behavioral, mental, and emotional disorders. Ms. Smith conducts in house assessments to advocate for the educational needs of students. As well as, supports the planning, writing, and implementation of IEPs. Epperly Heights is home to the best and we are so thankful for her! 💚🐎

Thank you to Del City Fire Department for reading to Mrs. Watson and Ms. Meeks' classes today. Our Pre-K friends listened to the book "Lou" about a fire hydrant with a big job. Then, they discussed fire safety, what first responders do, and who to call when you need help.
We appreciate their time with our students. 🚒❤️

Mustang Families, please complete the following form if you need help with a winter coat. Please note, condition of coats may vary and this is not a guarantee that we can provide one. 🧥🩵

Chocolate bars are going home this week!! Be sure to check out the parent letter if you have any questions. Each box sold contributes money to YOUR child's classroom. Let's do this! 🍫💙

It's time for a backpack check!
Tip: Check your child's backpack EACH NIGHT for important reminders, student grades, agenda announcements, rewards, permission slips, etc. 🎒
Specifically, if you have not turned in that bright yellow federal survey card, they are due ASAP! We are hoping for 100%, and are only missing a few!
Also, create a habit of cleaning out old food, open snacks, and disinfecting your child's materials. Together, we can fight germs and illnesses.

Happy Day of the Dead to our families who celebrate! For those who don't know, Dia De Los Muertos is Mexican holiday on November 1st and 2nd where families can remember loved ones who have passed away. It's a happy time, not a sad one, to celebrate life and death by creating special art, visiting loved one's graves, and having parties with food and music. 🎶❤️🪦Families honor the deceased with bright decorations like marigolds and by placing their favorite foods and drinks on an ofrenda (altar) to welcome their spirits home.
The popular Disney movie Coco, is a great representation of this vibrant holiday. 🇲🇽🫶🏽
Check out the artwork Mr. Chris' class made when learning about this special tradition. 🤩

We love hands-on learning at Epperly Heights! Mrs. Manning's 4th grade class has been learning about waves. By dropping water and glitter in pans, they were able to see various behaviors of the water. Then, they observed the surface for waves and changes.
Science is the best! 🌊🧑🏽🔬👩🏻🔬

Ms. Nicky's class has learned all about the life cycle of a pumpkin this week!
They painted mini pumpkins, did some carving, tried the seeds, and had yummy pumpkin cake! 🎃

A great day for the Woot Woot Wagon!
Teachers got an energy boost on this crazy Friday! We’re grateful for our faculty and the work they do each day. 🐎💚 EH is home to the best!

On this final day of Red Ribbon Week, we want to thank you for joining us in our dress up days! 🧡 We're BUILDING bright futures here at Epperly Heights: One teacher, one lesson, and one student at a time. 👷🏾🦺🔨 We hope our students take what they've learned this week into the rest of their lives.

High Five Fridays are our favorite! Thank you to Del City High School for allowing their students to come over this morning. Our Mustangs love getting to see the Eagles. 🦅❤️

Happy Halloween to our families who celebrate!
Check out these Trunk or Treat opportunities tonight. Feel free to share other flyers and events in the comments for other Mustang parents. 🎃👻Please be safe and have an enjoyable evening!
