Pleasant Hill's PreK Class was awarded a $750 grant from the Mid-Del Foundation this year. The funds were used to buy a color-changing light table, topper tray, and sensory materials. PreK uses this center every day for engineering, creating, and exploring various objects, such as sensory beads and discs, magnetic tiles, translucent color blocks, 3D shapes, letter and number tiles, animals, and capacity manipulatives. Colors and shapes pop through the light board, allowing students to see and extend patterns more vividly. They also make decisions about which colors and light patterns to utilize with the remote. This generous gift has been educationally beneficial to this PreK and opened a world of role-play, tandem play, collaborative play, independent play, and pretend play integrated into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Thank you @Mid-Del Foundation!
