Pleasant Hill Elementary School

Cardinals had a grand day celebrating grandparents and friendparents at the first Cardinal Connection Assembly for the 2025-26 school year on September 5th. PreK honored their beloved family members by singing along to "Safe Hands" by Mr. Mike at yourfriendmrmike.com. They also demonstrated how we build Mat Man as Karen Dzwonar's sequence video played in the background. We expressed how we stemmed from our grandparents, they are the core of who we are, and we "applesolutely" love them because they protect us and keep us safe! Kinder performed "Make a Rhyme, Make a Move" by Jack Hartmann. Noah Hathorn brilliantly sang and rapped on the microphone as all the kinder class showed off their rhyming prowess. Afterward, each kindergartener shared a trait about their grandparent and invited the audience to name a word that rhymes with that adjective. Thank you to all the apples of our eye for supporting us and watch us thrive in school.
