Congratulations to Ms. Felicia Mecail Cudjoe, who was named Pleasant Hill Elementary's 2025-26 Support Staff of the Year. She was born in Wiesbaden Germany, raised in Arcadia Oklahoma, and is now a resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ms. Cudjoe is multi-talented, working as a hairstylist and vocalist for over 35 years and serving Mid-Del Schools since 2019. She was an ISR and substitute teacher at Steed Elementary until 2022, then moved to Pleasant Hill Elementary, filling the ISR position until 2023 and has been the Financial Secretary for the past 3 years.
A national recording artist, Ms. Cudjoe is on a mission and is no stranger to gospel music. At the young age of three, she began singing while not foreseeing she would walk the path she is walking today. Her childhood vocal rehearsals consisted of belting out notes in the garage until she got them right. As she grew in her gift, she began to write and arrange her own songs. The Gospel Recording Artist and Icon TuTu, lead singer of the legendary gospel group The Truthettes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma recorded one of her songs she wrote entitled “Patient."
Ms. Cudjoe has shared the stage with many gospel greats, such as The Gospel Truthettes, Kim Burrell, Maranda Curtis, Benita Jones, Timothy Reddick, Montrae Tidsdale and The Friends Chorale. She has been a faithful member to Minister James A. Willis Jr.'s ministry and NuPraze for over twenty- five years. Ms. Cudjoe is featured on the project “I’ll Praise Him” with Minister James Willis and NuPraze entitled “You Can Make It." Ms. Cudjoe has done studio background vocals for multiple artists from across the nation. She has also recorded commercial jingles for Dr. Jason Banister of Orr Nissan.
Ms. Cudjoe is stepping out to do what she is called to do while sharing her gift with the world. She has experienced firsthand what tragedy feels like. Because she has experienced the loss of her parents and husband, God is using her pain to be a witness to others that he is a healer. Her newly released single entitled “It Will be Alright," written and produced by the maestro himself, Minister James Willis, is sure to bless your soul and give you hope and assurance despite your situation that It Will be Alright.
Ms. Cudjoe's goal and prayer is that people will be touched by her multiple ministries within Pleasant Hill's walls and outside The Hill. Her favorite saying is No matter what you go through or how tough it may seem, just know, It Will Be Alright.
