Congratulations to Ms. Patrice Tucker for being chosen Mid-Del's Top 5 District Principals for the 2025-26 school year. Ms. Tucker is an experienced educational leader with a proven record of improving student achievement, strengthening school culture, and supporting excellence by mentoring educators who aspire to become administrators.
With more than 31 years in education, Ms. Tucker has served as a classroom teacher, instructional reading facilitator, an assistant and head principal bringing a deep understanding of teaching and learning to every leadership decision. She strongly believes that effective leadership is rooted in trust, shared accountability, and a relentless focus on what is best for students.
Mid-Del has been her District of choice for 22 years. She taught at Pleasant Hill for one year and has since served in administration. She attributes her growth as an administrator to the leadership and mentoring she’s received over the years, as well as the professional learning and collaboration that’s been offered to strengthen her as an instructional leader.
As principal of Pleasant Hill Elementary, she leads a diverse learning community with a focus on high expectations, equity, and continuous improvement. Ms. Tucker is known for building strong relationships with staff, students, families, and community partners while fostering a collaborative environment grounded in collective commitments and academic growth.
