Pleasant Hill's music teacher, Ms. Carma Neta Morris, was one of 14 Eastern Oklahoma County organizations to receive a grant from the Junior Service League of Midwest City. Ms. Morris received her grant at the Annual Grants and Awards Presentation Meeting on April 15th. Ms. Morris earned a class set of ukuleles with her grant winnings.
Ms. Morris is an avid grant writer and annually brings in thousands of dollars worth of instruments and teaching materials to Pleasant Hill. Within a few days of receiving the Junior Service League Grant, she was awarded a Donors Choose grant for a classroom project titled "My Dog Has Fleas (and Needs a Tuner)." She purchased 3 open tubs and a smart automatic guitar and ukulele tuner.
