Dr. Rick Cobb is a life-long Oklahoman in his 26th year in education and third year as superintendent of Mid-Del Public Schools. He has been an English teacher, volleyball coach, principal, and assistant superintendent throughout the state prior to joining the district. He has earned degrees from the University of Oklahoma and Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Dr. Cobb has been recognized by many organizations for his service to education. These are just a few of his recent awards: the 2017 Powerful Voice Award presented by Voices Organized in Civic Engagement; the 2016 Award for Service to Oklahoma Educators presented by Oklahoma Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development; and the 2016 Friend of Education Award presented by the Oklahoma Education Association. 

In addition to his work in the district, Dr. Cobb is also an adjunct professor for Southern Nazarene University and a public education advocacy blogger. He and his wife, Inger, have three children.
