CONGRATULATIONS to Del City High School’s Sophomore percussionist, Nathan McGuire! Nathan went to Gainesville HS in Texas to audition for the Zephyrus Drum & Bugle Corps and successfully received a call back!
This is an independent and competitive marching group that accepts students from ages 15 - 22.
We are very proud of this Eagle 🦅

This weekend. Srudent Leaders Mikenzi Bockhaus, Anajiah Willis and Anaya Walker attend OU's High School Leadership Conference HSLC. They learned about OU and gained valuable leadership skills to bring back to DC.

DCHS and Mrs. Cox are excited and proud to share that we have 3 students who have placed in the 2026 Thunder Black Heritage Art Contest.
Each student was also required to write an Artist Statement discussing how they have been personally inspired by the experience, moment, or individual depicted in the artwork. All three students will each receive an Official Award Plaque, Thunder Gift Bag, 4 tickets to the game, and food vouchers to spend.
All participants' entries will be on display at the Thunder Basketball Game on Sun Feb 22 in the main concourse Section 116 near the Southwest entrance.
9th grade - Mayrin Sanchez lopez *Runner UP of 9th grade division
10th grade - ROMEO Ardelean *Runner up of 10th grade division
11th grade - Lillianna Lopez *Winner of 11th grade division
