It's officially the 3rd day of school and our community is still showing up for us! ⏰
Thank you to Josh Schultz from the Del City Chamber of Commerce, as well as Megan and Laci from Bill Eisenhour at SunnyLane, for helping welcome our students into school this morning. In addition to warm greetings, each student that passed by them received a Back to School bracelet. We appreciate their time and commitment to our building! 🐎💚
4th grade had themselves a great 1st day as well!! Our upper grades hallway was filled with great energy, loads of excitement, and warm welcomes into this new chapter. 📖💚
Mrs. Haines' class had a fabulous day! ⭐️ This silly crew practiced procedures, got to know each other, and even made headbands to celebrate their first day as first graders! 📖

Good times in 3rd grade!! Mrs. Parker and Mrs. Carbajal's classes have been busy today! Students completed team building exercises, a get to know me activity, and even had a photo pop at the reading chair.

Today, Mrs. Watson and Ms. Brigette's Pre-K class learned about magic play-doh. After hearing the story of the special dough, all students started out with a plain white ball. The story says, if they are going to have a great year, their dough would begin to change before their eyes. ✨
As Mustangs started squeezing it in their hands, squeals of excitement filled the room and colors started to appear! Looks like these tiny Mustangs are going to have the BEST year. ❤️

Music class is more than just singing! 🎵 Mustangs will learn about instruments, move their bodies, and even read books together. The options in Ms. Miller's class are limitless!

Our 25-26 Patrons of the Year, Bill Eisenhour at SunnyLane, have been champions for Epperly Heights.
Today, their team dropped off a HUGE supply of tissues and Clorox wipes for our classrooms. We couldn't do what we do, without generous community members like them! Thank you for helping keep our students safe and healthy with these products! 💚🐎
We would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you", to Grace Place Baptist Church for their donation of school supplies. Grace Place has been a steadfast community partner for many years and we are so grateful for their dedication to our building.
As part of our 26-27 Read Aloud initiative, they provided dozens of books to be shared amongst our classrooms. They also added Clorox wipes, tissues, markers, and pencil boxes to our supply closet. We are so thankful! 📚❤️

Mustang Families, we have a time sensitive announcement to share. This message pertains to all grade levels.
It has been discovered that the new IPads our students will be using this year do NOT have traditional headphone jacks. We are asking you to please check your student's headphones, and ensure they have a USB-C connection.
We apologize for the late notice, as it has just come to our attention today. Mrs. Looney, our librarian, has found some affordable USB-C headphones and has included some links for your convenience.

Practice makes perfect! 🥪 Mustang parents, especially those with children in our lower grades, please begin practicing lunchtime procedures. Students who bring their lunch should be able to carry their lunch box, open their own food items, and clean up after themselves. While adults are always present in the cafe, teachers cannot open every item, for every student. Practice eating in a timely manner and throwing trash in a garbage can. ❤️ For students who will get a tray, Mustangs have the option between choice "A" and "B". Once in the lunchroom, students are expected to wait in their designated line, grab a milk, get their tray, carry it to their seat, enjoy lunch, clean up their space, and dump their trash in the bin. Thank you for helping your student succeed in the cafeteria. 🍔🐎
