Happy Easter to our Mustang families who celebrate! 🐰 Mrs. Cranfill's class did science with a twist this week. Their task was to place peeps in various forms of liquid(sprite, water, and vinegar) to observe changes. Students were challenged to document their findings and they discussed why each peep reacted the way it did. Rumor has it... at the end they ate the control group! 😋

State Testing starts in 9 days! Here's a peek at your student's test dates. Parents, it is imperative that your students do not miss school on their testing dates. It's also crucial that they are ON TIME and in class by 9:00. ⏰ Late students will not be allowed into their classroom during a testing session.

A project with a purpose. Mustang students from Mrs. Carbajal, Mrs. Parker, Mrs. Manning, and Mrs. Johnson's classes have had the opportunity to create snack bags for the OK Kids Korral. The Korral serves as a nonprofit residential facility for families with children fighting cancer. The location offers easy access to Children's Hospital, allowing families to stay close while their child undergoes treatment. Each time the family leaves, they are given a snack bag. Our Mustangs spent time writing encouraging phrases, reminders, and compliments to brighten the patient's day. Today, while they were decorating, our third graders had special visitors from Del City High School Leadership. We are so proud of our students and their hearts for others.

It's been a hoppin' and pippin' day at Epperly Heights. 🌷🐰 Students and staff were in the holiday spirit with egg hunts and spring themed activities. The Easter Bunny even sent his favorite egg to greet students as they came in this morning. 🐣 Have a great weekend Mustangs!

It's Librarian Appreciation Day!! EH is so lucky to have Mrs. Looney! She's our book fair queen, device support guru, and always down for a good shenanigan. We're not sure what we would do without her.📚💚

Throwback Thursday! In December, our Mustang Art Club designed floor tiles for a local business! Got Games, a video game store in Del City, allowed our school to contribute to their community wide project. Now, these tiles are on the floor of their business for all to see! 🎮 Our Mustangs were excited to participate and thankful for the opportunity to partner with a local business. 💚🐎

🔥 Lights - Sirens - Learning 🚨 Thank you, Del City Fire Department, for coming to visit us this morning! All of first grade and our abilities classrooms got to hear about their gear, watch a firefighter race, and walk around the firetrucks. We are grateful for the opportunity to have these presentations for our students. 🚒

Every day is a fairytale at Epperly Heights! ✨ Recently, Ms. Nicky's class has been learning all about fairytales and nursery rhymes. Students practiced these topics with themed activities like pattern recognition, storytelling, acting, at home projects, and more. How fun! 🏡⭐️❤️

BEEP BEEP! The Woot Woot Wagon is coming through! Yesterday, teachers and staff were treated to their monthly snack and drink. This surprise knock at the door is always a boost for our educators! 👩🏻‍🏫👨🏽‍🏫

A round of applause is in order! 👏🏼 These 15 Mustangs have maintained perfect attendance for quarter 3! This means zero early check-outs, zero tardies, zero suspensions, and at school each and every day! We are so proud!

Fun in the sun! ☀️ Our Abilities classes took a field trip to Myriad Botanical Gardens in OKC today. They spent the morning surrounded by plants, feeding the fish, and playing outside. What a fun day! 🌼🌱🌳

IT'S TIME TO CELEBRATE!! 🎉 Our Mustang BotBall team rocked the competition on Saturday!! Not only did they complete ALL assigned challenges, they conquered 2 mystery challenges as well! We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and commitment this semester. 🤖 Way to represent Epperly Heights, Mustangs!💚🐎
