Game on! 💪🏽 Del City Fire Department worked up a sweat this morning. Mrs. Guild's 3rd grade class was in for a surprise as 8 firefighters came to crash their dodgeball game. It was competitive- it was chaotic- and it was SO MUCH FUN. Thank you to these hometown heroes for their time spent at the Heights. Our Mustangs love having you. 🐎💚

1-2-3-4 we declare a penny war!! Mustang families and community members, it's time to clear out the couch cushions, cup holders, and piggy banks. Bring ALL your change to The main office starting TOMORROW!! Silver coins go in the opposing team's buckets, while all pennies go in ours! Help Epperly Heights bring the trophy home. 🏆 All money raised goes towards Del City High School's philanthropy week.

Readers are leaders! All students who had at least 100 points of growth on their Star Reading Test got to attend a celebratory party. Lower grades students opted for extra playground time, while upper grades students took a trip to the Corral! 🐎 We are always excited to celebrate our students' growth. 🥳📈

Grab your celebration hat! As a part of our targeted interventions for growth, Mrs. Looney has been doing alphabet practice and letter sound support to a few kindergartners. They've been doing so well, that today they earned donut holes! We are excited to see these critical skills being mastered. 🔠🩷

Congratulations to Mrs. Zundell!! She was recognized as the Mary Banister Foundation Teacher of the Month! We are so grateful for evening Mrs. Zundell does for our building. She's a fantastic team lead, friend, and leader to all. 🦋

Thank you Lieutenant Preston for coming to hang with the Mustangs this morning! 💚🐎 Mr. Preston read a story to Mrs. Daggs' and Mrs. Shae's classes, did a Q&A about police officers, and talked to students about ways to calm down, de-stress, and focus on their breathing. We are so grateful for these partnerships! 💙🚔

It's almost time for Wild Week at Del City High School! They've got three exciting events coming up for Mustangs to attend. March 6th-12th bring your coins into the main office! We're hoping to bring home the win for Epperly Heights! 🏆Silver coins will go in other school's buckets, all pennies will go in ours! March 10th, 6pm-10pm, see you at Andy Altitude's! Join us for a night of arcade games and 80's clothes! A portion of your purchase will go towards Wild Week. March 11th, 6:00pm, it's time for a Color Run! Starting line is at the Del City Community Center. $5 entry for all.

A few of our Girl Scouts took a field trip last week! 14 Mustangs got to represent all Oklahoma Girl Scouts at the Juliette Lowe Foundation Luncheon in Oklahoma City. Epperly Heights' troop was the ONLY school invited to attend. Our girls got on stage to do the pledge, read the Girl Scout Law, and sing a song to a room of over 1000 women. Then, they sold cookies to the entire building as they left. We were grateful for the opportunity and proud of how our students represented Epperly Heights.

4th grade had an exciting day! 💡❤️ Thank you to Junior Achievement and BizTown for welcoming our students today. The past few weeks, Mustangs were assigned jobs and began learning the ins and outs of running a business. As well as, understanding the complexity of communities and the role each organization plays. Whether they were the CEO of Chick-fil-A, a realtor, the gas company, the mayor, or a cashier at Love's, our students gained valuable leadership experiences. We are so proud of them and grateful for the opportunity!
