Roaring Thunder: Thank you to OKC Thunder Basketball and Paycom Center for hosting our 4th and 5th graders, along with other metro area students, on November 15th. We fully enjoyed our unique field trip experiencing STEM and live professional basketball in an infusion of academics and sports. It is all connected and we are loving it!

Cardinals send a special shout-out to our lovely storytellers who came to Pleasant Hill on Friday, November 17th, to read to students for our annual Read-a-Thon! Tracy Henderson, Jillian Johns, Ashley Greene, Kristina Johnson, Melissa Dalton, Tracy and Rachel (MWC Librarians), Sammy Wallace and Co., and Dr. Cobb are to be commended for sharing their love for learning, books, and energy to celebrate reading!

We are thankful for our Mid-Del families. Mid-Del Schools will be closed November 20-24 for Thanksgiving Break. Students and staff return November 27. #mdpurpose

Shelden Williams Basketball League Update: Basketball games have been cancelled for Saturday November 18th and 25th. Stay posted for changes or additions in the December schedule.

Friday is Read-a-Thon Day at PHill! We will have special activities with Mr. P, hear guest readers, and dress up as a favorite book character. It is also popcorn day ($1 for a small bag and $2 for a large bag).

We will be cheering on our Brain Bowl participants this Thursday, November 16th. They will compete at the Rose State LEAD Building (formerly Traub Elementary), leaving Pleasant Hill at approximately 9am and returning around 2pm. Round One starts at 9:45am. For all attending, there will be a Clear Bag District Policy in place.

November 8th Reminder: 2nd and 3rd grades are going on their fall field trip to Harn Homestead. Bus leaves at 9:30am and returns around 1:45pm. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring a sack lunch if you opted for that. Chaperones will meet us at the school and can follow the bus in their personal vehicle.

Happy Halloween! We are excited to bus our 5th graders to MCHS PAC for aTrick or Treat Halloween band concert by Midwest City Middle School. The students will see what being in band is like while enjoying being in the audience! Next semester, 5th graders will decide what extracurricular activities and electives they may choose to be involved in at Midwest City Middle School for the 2024-25 school year.

Happy Halloween Eve! Tomorrow, October 31st, Pleasant Hill 5th Graders will go to Midwest City High School for a Trick or Treat Halloween Concert presented by the Midwest City Middle School Band. The concert is from 10-11am in the Performing Arts Center. They are looking forward to visiting the high school and hearing their older peers perform live!
