Today the office was hopping! 🤩 ⭐ Principal of the Day kept a tight ship and did an amazing job running the office today. Great job, girlie! 👏 🍂 We also celebrated our Fall Festival winners with a special lunch with the office. 🏆 Plus, our Stallion Stampede winners enjoyed their winners’ luncheon today too! It was a fun-filled day full of smiles, celebrations, and special memories at school! 💙💛

Our vocabulary parade is a fun little project in which students choose a word above their vocabulary level to dress up as and announce the word and definition on stage in front of friends and family. 🎭📚 It’s always an amazing sight to behold! 👀✨ Everyone in attendance at the parade always leaves with several new words added to their vocabulary bank. 🧠📖 The students decorated their vocabulary boards in class, and families helped with the costumes at home. The students even kept their boards top secret from their families until the vocabulary parade. 🤫🎭📚 Special thanks to Mrs. King for organizing such an engaging event for our 3rd graders and to Mrs. Williams for her support along the way. We also appreciate the Mid-Del Public Schools Foundation for the grant Mrs. King received last year, which provided enough supplies for this year’s event as well. #mdpurpose

Carl Albert High School SWAG (Students With a Goal) is kicking off soon! 🎉 High school students will be hosting a coin drive at Schwartz Elementary beginning Monday, March 9th, and it will run through Friday, March 13th. The homeroom class that raises the most money will win a Chick-fil-A party for the entire class! 🐔🎊 This year, funds will go to support Julian, a student at Soldier Creek Elementary. 🤖🎉 Mid-Del elementary students rocked the annual Junior Botball Challenge today at the Rose State College LEAD Center! 🎉🤖 A big shoutout to our Advanced Learning teacher, Mrs. Culbert, and our 5th grade science teacher, Mrs. Combs, for leading such an amazing group of students! 💙 Teams programmed their robots to complete 9 challenges; driving, parking, moving cans, and more using coding and teamwork! 🧠💻 Each completed challenge earned a button, and finishing all 7 required challenges meant Champion status! 🏆 ✨ Schwartz completed all 7 required challenges and earned Botball Challenge Champion recognition! ✨ Way to go, Stallions!! 🐴💙👏

🎭✨ Pajama Party presented by our very own Kindergarten & 1st Grade Stallions! 🐴💙 Oh my goodness… this play was FULL of cuteness and did anything BUT put us to sleep! 😴From the cozy PJs to the big smiles and confident voices, our little performers absolutely shined on stage! 🌟💛 A huge shoutout to Ms. McBride for completely outdoing herself with this production; it was adorable, creative, and so much fun! 👏🎉 Thank you to all of our amazing families who helped make this play so spectacular. Your support means everything! 💕 And a special thank you to Mrs. Lancaster for helping the students create their adorable PJ party lanterns 🏮✨ they were the perfect touch! After our team drove throughout the district this morning, we are ready to be back in school. Welcome back!

The roads aren't perfect. There are still some slick spots in neighborhoods, along with a few intersections near Barnes, Schwartz, and Pleasant Hill Elementary. We encourage families to plan for extra time getting their students to school. Bus routes may run a little more slowly in these areas as well.

We will ask schools to be mindful of these conditions when marking students tardy at the beginning of the school day.

We understand that parents have the ultimate responsibility to decide what's safe for your child. Our school parking lots and sidewalks have been cleared, and we will have warm meals. If you can't get out of your neighborhood, please call your child's absence into their school.

An important message from Dr. Cobb.

Good afternoon -

We have been out driving roads and are seeing some improvement. Of course, better doesn't mean great. The forecast shows temperatures hovering around the freezing mark overnight. Right now, I'm 50/50 on being in school tomorrow. The final decision will be made when my team and I get up early in the morning and test roads in different parts of the district. Our decision will be made by 5:00 am, at which point we will send out messages, either way.

I know that leaves our families and staff in limbo, and I'm sorry for that, but I never take the responsibility of this decision lightly. As much as I'd love to have the right answer right now, I'm going to ask for your patience. The goal is always to teach our students and be safe doing it.

With that in mind, stay warm and safe. Hopefully, we'll see you tomorrow.

Due to continued hazardous road conditions, Mid-Del Schools will be CLOSED on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. This will be a traditional snow day, and no classes will be held. Mid-Del Technology Center daytime classes are canceled.

While progress has been made to clear some streets across our communities, there are still areas that remain unsafe for buses, student drivers, and families. As always, the safety of our students and staff guides every decision we make.
