It was the perfect day for a field trip! Our 2nd graders had a blast exploring the OKC Zoo. 🐘 We are always excited to incorporate fun experiences for our students. Thank you to the parents who volunteered to chaperone this fun day. Your participation makes all the difference!

Protect the egg! 🥚 4th grade has been learning crucial STEM concepts all year. Students applied learning by crafting their very own egg drop vehicles. Today, their projects were put to the ultimate test as the eggs were dropped from the sky. There may have been some scrambled yolks in the end.. but the creation, learning process, and memories are priceless! ⚙️💚

Growing and glowing! 🪴 Mrs. Shae's class is growing green beans as a component of their plant cycle unit! Students were able to plant seeds and are excited to see them sprout! 🌱 We love hands on learning at Epperly Heights!

Here ye, here ye 📣 You are officially invited to our second annual Cultural Night!! Last year, we had an incredible turnout and we're planning for an even bigger event this year!! We'll take a trip to 9 new countries, have live performances, and we've incorporated even more stations than before. 🤩 All Mustang families who attend will receive a free tote bag, books to take home, a passport outlining all of your stops, and more! Happy Easter to our Mustang families who celebrate! 🐰 Mrs. Cranfill's class did science with a twist this week. Their task was to place peeps in various forms of liquid(sprite, water, and vinegar) to observe changes. Students were challenged to document their findings and they discussed why each peep reacted the way it did. Rumor has it... at the end they ate the control group! 😋

State Testing starts in 9 days! Here's a peek at your student's test dates. Parents, it is imperative that your students do not miss school on their testing dates. It's also crucial that they are ON TIME and in class by 9:00. ⏰ Late students will not be allowed into their classroom during a testing session.

A project with a purpose. Mustang students from Mrs. Carbajal, Mrs. Parker, Mrs. Manning, and Mrs. Johnson's classes have had the opportunity to create snack bags for the OK Kids Korral. The Korral serves as a nonprofit residential facility for families with children fighting cancer. The location offers easy access to Children's Hospital, allowing families to stay close while their child undergoes treatment. Each time the family leaves, they are given a snack bag. Our Mustangs spent time writing encouraging phrases, reminders, and compliments to brighten the patient's day. Today, while they were decorating, our third graders had special visitors from Del City High School Leadership. We are so proud of our students and their hearts for others.
