Ms. Gordon is proud to present the 2nd Grade Spelling Bee winner - Janori Johns. Janori won after 7 rounds with various classmates. He stunned the class with a confident and determined spelling of the word "beautiful." It's a BEE-utiful day to win the spelling bee. The study list was quite extensive and worthy of many buzzing praises to Janori Johns for taking the time and dedication to prepare as best he could. Way to go, 2nd grade, for studying your irregular and regular spelling pattern words! Go BEE Awesome!!!

Ms. Holloway's Kindergarten class has been hard at work creating and presenting their Roar, Explore, and Learn More Kindergarten Adventures. Each student chose an animal - land or sea - to research, uncovering their habitats, food patterns, and behaviors. These savvy kindergarteners designed a poster to demonstrate their learning in order to pass it on to their classmates. Ms. Holloway set aside days for one set of students to present in rotations, so classmates moved from a presentation center to another for approximately 7-8 minutes each. Additionally, students learned to introduce themselves, their project, and how to thank and shake hands with their audience at the conclusion.
