Wednesday, April 15th: Purple UP! For Military Kids!

At Mid-Del Schools, we are proud to honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifice of our military-connected students and their families. These students serve too, navigating new schools, new friendships, and time apart from loved ones, all while showing incredible courage and adaptability.

As a proud Purple Star School District, we stand alongside our military families every day. This month, we celebrate YOU and thank you for the sacrifices you make to serve our country.

Join us in wearing purple on April 15 for Purple Up! Day as we show our support for our military children across Mid-Del.

Please share your Purple Up! pictures with us at sboyer@mid-del.net. Thank you!

The Pleasant Hill Orff Ensemble performed in the annual Orff Festival at Midwest City High School today, along with 3 other Oklahoma schools. The program was called "This Land is Your Land: 250 Years of American Folk Music." It was patriotically, poignantly, and poetically executed through instrumentation, movement and singing. These Cardinals have been practicing after school for months and we enjoyed the fruit of your labor!

Thank you to Mrs. Ford for hosting the Cardinal Chess Club! 4th and 5th-grade students had the opportunity to participate in the chess club for several weeks. Some students came wanting to learn basic moves and others wanted to practices advanced strategies. These skills are very important in the classroom setting because chess requires focus and problem solving. Chess builds their endurance that is required for state testing. Props to you all for becoming smarter and wiser!

Graphic titled “Mid-Del Game Day” explaining the clear bag policy for events. Approved items include one clear tote or one-gallon resealable plastic bag per person, and a small non-transparent clutch no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Prohibited items include backpacks, diaper bags, purses, camera bags, binocular bags, and tinted bags. Medical bags are allowed after inspection. The graphic also notes that all attendees will pass through a weapon detection system and that law enforcement will be present at large events.
