Is your 4th or 5th grade child interested in debate? Does he or she have strong ideas and opinions and love to share them? Be on the lookout for information from Ms. Boyd about joining our 2024 Debate Team! Practices will be January 16th-March 8th. The Elementary & Middle School Debate Tournament will be Saturday, March 9th, at 9:15am - 12:00pm at Soldier Creek Elementary.
The basketball tournament is this Saturday, December 16th, at Midwest City High School. 3rd and 4th grade boys, 3rd and 4th grade girls, 5th grade boys, and 5th grade girls teams will all be playing. See the schedule image for times and location at MCHS. Go Cardinals!!! We are your biggest fans!
This is a reminder that Mid-Del Schools will be closed for Winter Break December 18-January 2 for students. Mid-Del Staff will return Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Students return Wednesday, January 3, 2024. We hope you enjoy your break! #mdpurpose

Happy Support Staff Week, Ms. Greene! Pleasant Hill is honored to have you as our beloved Pre-K aide. This year, you have served both the kinder and Pre-K students so vibrantly and diligently. You also are a bright light to the whole school and step in to help in every area of the building. We do not know what we would do without you! Thank you for coming into our lives!
We had a celebrity sighting at Pleasant Hill - Dr. Cobb! The 5th graders were thrilled to have Dr. Cobb as a guest reader for our annual Read-a-Thon day on November 17th. They thoroughly enjoyed his reading of the Honor Book: Black is a Rainbow Color by Angela Joy, class interaction, and group picture! We are grateful for your leadership, support, and encouragement, Dr. Cobb!
Roaring Thunder: Thank you to OKC Thunder Basketball and Paycom Center for hosting our 4th and 5th graders, along with other metro area students, on November 15th. We fully enjoyed our unique field trip experiencing STEM and live professional basketball in an infusion of academics and sports. It is all connected and we are loving it!

Cardinals send a special shout-out to our lovely storytellers who came to Pleasant Hill on Friday, November 17th, to read to students for our annual Read-a-Thon! Tracy Henderson, Jillian Johns, Ashley Greene, Kristina Johnson, Melissa Dalton, Tracy and Rachel (MWC Librarians), Sammy Wallace and Co., and Dr. Cobb are to be commended for sharing their love for learning, books, and energy to celebrate reading!
We are thankful for our Mid-Del families. Mid-Del Schools will be closed November 20-24 for Thanksgiving Break. Students and staff return November 27. #mdpurpose
Shelden Williams Basketball League Update: Basketball games have been cancelled for Saturday November 18th and 25th. Stay posted for changes or additions in the December schedule.
Friday is Read-a-Thon Day at PHill! We will have special activities with Mr. P, hear guest readers, and dress up as a favorite book character. It is also popcorn day ($1 for a small bag and $2 for a large bag).
We will be cheering on our Brain Bowl participants this Thursday, November 16th. They will compete at the Rose State LEAD Building (formerly Traub Elementary), leaving Pleasant Hill at approximately 9am and returning around 2pm. Round One starts at 9:45am. For all attending, there will be a Clear Bag District Policy in place.
