Today Master Sergeant Campbell (aka Mrs. Erin Campbell’s husband) and Master Sergeant Shetley, with the OKC Air Support Unit, flew in for a visit with the Schwartz Stallions. The students watched them fly in and land, as well as take off! It was so exciting for our students and staff! The officers shared with the students about what being an Air Support police pilot entails, details about the helicopter, and answered a few questions too. It was a great morning and visit! Thank you OKC Police Air Support Unit for making a stop by Schwartz and thank you Mrs. Erin Campbell for setting up this special visit!!

After participating in a webinar this morning with the National Weather Service, we've made the decision to cancel evening events for tonight. This is for all schools, including the Mid-Del Technology Center, but does not include OSSAA events, which are outside of our control. Hopefully we can get everything rescheduled in the time we have left this year. We've included slides from the webinar for your information. Stay safe. #mdpurpose

Our Stallions are AMAZING!! Schwartz partnered with CAHS Leadership for SWAG (Students with a Goal). All proceeds go to the SWAG recipient Brooklyn Hawkins!! Our coin war was from March 6-10 and in that week our Stallions were able to raise $5,424.03. Abigail and her team would like to thank each one of you for supporting this cause.

Great things are happening at Schwartz!! The KIPR Botball Educational Robotics Program engages students in a team-oriented robotics competition, and serves as a perfect way to meet today’s learners. Botball exposes our 4th and 5th grade students to an inquiry-based, learn-by-doing computer programming activity that appeals to their hearts, as well as, their minds. While learning how to code the Bots, students are gaining valuable technological, logical, and creative problem-solving skills. Botball also addresses the need for a well-prepared, creative, yet disciplined student with leadership and teamwork experience. Schwartz LOVES Botball! Thank you Mrs. Culbert (Advanced Learning) and Mrs. Combs (4/5th Science) for inspiring our students! #mdpurpose

Our 4th and 5th grade Honor Choir spread holiday cheer to the residents of Fountain Brook. Our wonderful music teacher Ms. McBride played the piano for every song that was requested by the residents. Students also handed out cards and hugs. It truly was an amazing experience!
