Last night, staff from Schwartz Elementary showcased the Academic Accolades from their school during the board meeting.
Our Stallions always enjoy being greeted by the Titans during morning drop-off. They even helped out with the flags!

Schwartz Stallions Purple Up for Military Kids!
We wanted to remind our families about our safety protocols we have in place for District events. Please see the graphic explaining our clear bag policy and procedures. The Elementary Music Festival is happening Thursday, March 28th at the Carl Albert High School Field House and these safety protocols will be followed. Please allow for extra time for admittance if you are planning to attend Thursday evening.

2024 NASA SEEC Conference!!
Mrs. Combs was chosen to attend this conference as a NASA OKSG participant. She represented all of the Mid-Del schools and her home site, Schwartz Elementary. Teachers from around the world came together for a four day conference learning all about space exploration. During this conference educators participated in different break out sessions where they were able to learn different methods of teaching students all about space exploration with the idea of getting students excited about space and STEM.
Mrs. Combs also trained like an astronaut by scuba diving in a pool and completing different challenges that astronauts are required to do in their training. She also went on different tours at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. The goal is to teach students that you don't have to be an astronaut to work for NASA.
Emersyn Dallas, a fifth grade student from Schwartz Elementary, led the Pledge of Allegiance during the Board of Education meeting tonight. Great job Emersyn! #mdpurpose

Mrs.Campbell read the book, “Balloons over Broadway” to her first grade classes on Monday. Students learned about the incredible Tony Sarg, the man behind the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons. Afterwards, the students went to work as engineers and designers just like Tony! Their challenge was to design a balloon for the 1st annual Schwartz Thanksgiving Day Parade. The class brainstormed materials they could use to attach their balloons to the class Bee Bots, drew out a design plan, and made their plan come to life! The creativity and thinking that went into the balloons was incredible!

4th grade is learning all about speed and energy. They had to investigate at which height that a ball was dropped from would produce more energy and sound. They also learned how to record data and work together in groups. Way to go 4th graders!!
