Special Board Meeting November 17, 2020
The Board of Education voted to make adjustments to the Mid-Del Return to Learn Plan for in-person students. Students of Mid-Del Public schools are currently attending class in-person four days a week. The district will move to remote learning if any of the following occur:
Oklahoma County moves to "Red" on the Oklahoma State Department of Health weekly COVID-19 map
The district is unable to provide bus services due to excessive quarantine of bus drivers
In addition, individual classrooms or school sites will move to remote learning if any of the following occur:
5% of total school site population (students and staff) test positive for COVID-19. In this event, the school site will move to remote learning for 14 calendar days
Inability to provide instructional services due to COVID-19 quarantines. Remote learning will take place for students in impacted classrooms or entire school site
Special Board Meeting October 29, 2020
During the Special Board of Education meeting on Thursday, October 29, 2020, the Board voted unanimously (5-0) to untie Learning Plan options from the Oklahoma State Department of Health color-coded map. Students who selected in-person instruction will return to full-time in-person instruction beginning November 9, 2020 (ending the hybrid A/B model). We will continue to keep Wednesdays as remote learning days through December. In addition, we will pivot to all-remote learning if the number of available hospital beds in Oklahoma County drops below 5%. Students participating in the Mid-Del Virtual Academy will remain in MDVA.
Communication with students and families will be sent through student school emails with the email ending in @mid-delonline.net.
Remote Learning does not mean google classroom calls that will last from 8-4pm. However, teachers may engage through google classrooms, phone calls, and emails with students. Assignments and lessons will be located in Canvas. A team of Mid-Del Educators will be developing lessons and sharing them by grade level with our students. Families should monitor the student’s progress daily.
Please watch the video below to learn how to login to Canvas and access your student's canvas account. Families accessing student accounts are called "observers" in Canvas.

Remote Learning Days (Wednesdays for All In-Person Students)
These remote learning days will count as instructional days, with students learning new material with teacher support through Canvas and Seesaw LMS (learning management system). Attendance will be taken. Regular support and contact from Mid-Del staff will take place.
In the event of school closure due to COVID-19, Mid-Del will be prepared to offer a robust remote learning environment for our students. Remote learning days may extend beyond COVID-19 closures and could include inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions.
Will laptops be given per household/family or per student?

Any devices issued during school closure/remote learning will be expected to be returned by the end of the school year. Families will be responsible for providing internet access.
