We celebrated Mid-Del excellence the BIG way, thunder sticks shaking, confetti flying, and spirit squads bringing the energy! Congratulations to our District Award winners and every incredible nominee. Because here, we are One District. One Family.

We celebrated our incredible staff members with thunder sticks shaking the room, confetti cannons popping after every announcement, and a whole lot of school spirit filling the Learning Services Center. It was loud. It was proud. Because when we celebrate excellence in Mid-Del… we do it BIG.

A huge thank you to the spirit squads from all three of our high schools who lined the entry and helped us kick off the celebration in true Mid-Del fashion. Your energy set the tone and reminded everyone what it means to show up with pride for our people!

We are so proud to congratulate all of our nominees and our eight overall District Award winners:

🏆 Support Staff Person of the Year: Gerald Glisson, Maintenance

🏆 Special Services Employee of the Year: Vanessa Smith, District Special Services

🏆 Counselor of the Year: Heather Bone, Parkview Elementary

🏆 Instructional Coach of the Year: Becky Hardwicke, Midwest City Middle School

🏆 Assistant Principal of the Year: Russell Johnson, Del City Middle School

🏆 Principal of the Year: Charita Hunt, Midwest City Elementary

🏆 Adjunct Teacher of the Year: Lashaunda Warlick, Barnes Elementary

🏆 Teacher of the Year: Madyson Roark, Del City High School

These leaders exhibit excellence day in and day out, and today we made sure they felt the appreciation of an entire district behind them.

Because at Mid-Del, we are more than coworkers. We are more than campuses.

We are One District. One Family.
