Scot served 12 years in the Air Force and was able to earn his B.S. and MBA from Southern Nazarene University. He is finishing his 12th year in education, the last four years spent as an English teacher and Assistant Girls Basketball coach at Midwest City High School. Scot and his wife Celia are the proud parents of a daughter, Autumn. #mdpurpose


The Board of Education named Courtney Norman as Administrative Intern at Del City Middle School for the 2023 school year..
Courtney earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1999, and is completing her Master’s in Education Administration from the University of Oklahoma this summer. She has spent twenty-two years teaching in middle school. She started her career at Kerr Junior High in 1999, spent some time in Norman Public Schools, and made her way back to Mid-Del by serving as the Instructional Coach at Carl Albert Middle School the last three years. She is married to Chad and they have two sons. Teegin is finishing up his sophomore year at Oklahoma State University and Dennon will be graduating high school in the next few weeks. Courtney is excited for this full circle moment as she is returning to the place she first started her career many years ago. She is looking forward to being an Eagle again. #mdpurpose

The Board of Education named Ms. Gina Wright as Assistant Director of Alternative/MDVA for the 2023-2024 school year. Gina is a Mid-Del graduate who earned a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, both from the University of Central Oklahoma, and earned a Doctorate from Southern Nazarene University. She started her career in Mid-Del as an ELA teacher at Cedar Ridge, and then served as a Math Teacher and Instructional Coach at Jarman Middle School before moving to the Administration building where she served as the Math and Science Instructional Facilitator, then the Student Assessment Coordinator. Gina was also an Assistant Principal in a variety of schools in Mid-Del. She has most recently been an Assistant Principal in Oklahoma City. Gina’s only child, Isabella, works for the Metropolitan Library System. Gina is thrilled to return to Mid-Del and the family of educators who supported and mentored her for much of her career in education.

The Board of Education named Mr. Nalder Farris as Assistant Principal at Del City High School for the 2023-2024 school year. Mr. Farris earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Langston University and his Masters of Education Degree in Educational Leadership and Counseling Psychology from Washington State University. Mr Farris has served in many roles within the education field including adjunct professor, classroom teacher, and assistant principal. Through his dedication to his students, education, and community, Mr.Farris has found himself eagerly transitioning into his Assistant Principal role for Mid-Del Public Schools, where he is fully committed and devoted to the academic success of the students.

The Board of Education named Mr. Brandon Hawkins as Assistant Principal at Midwest City Middle School for the 2023-2024 school year. Brandon Hawkins is a graduate from Hugo High School. Following high school, Brandon attended SOSU and was a member of their Men’s basketball team for two years. He then transferred to ECU in Ada, OK where he played basketball for one year and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and later earned his Masters in Educational Leadership. Brandon began his journey in the educational field with Mid-Del schools in 2015 when was a Physical Education teacher for Steed elementary. Brandon left Mid-Del for a year to serve as an administrative intern with John Marshall Enterprise High School, but he is excited to return to Mid-Del and continue his pursuit of impacting the lives of the students, families, and educators. He is married to LaKiesha Hawkins and all three of their children are students within the Mid-Del school district.
