The Board of Education named Meagan Bryant as the Director of Counseling and Mental Health for Mid-Del Schools. Meagan Bryant is a product of Mid-Del Public Schools as a Midwest City High School graduate Class of 2003. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education in 2007 and Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling in 2012 both from the University of Central Oklahoma. Not only was she a student in Mid-Del, but she spent almost 12 years in Mid-Del Schools as a teacher, School Counselor, and a few years as the Coordinator of Counseling for the district. In 2018 Meagan left Mid-Del, but did not go far. She has spent the past four years at Rose State College as the Director of Student Engagement. During her time at Rose, she oversaw recruitment and student activities, as well as an advisor for the President’s Leadership Class. She prioritized collaborating with fellow higher education professionals on campus to grow her knowledge of higher education. In her role, she continued to find ways to partner with many of our Mid-Del schools to support college and career readiness and support our students and district. In 2019 she was selected to become a Board Member of the Mid-Del Public Schools Foundation, served as the parent representative for Mid-Del Professional Development Committee for the past four years, and last year graduated from the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class of 2022. Although Meagan was working in higher education and in Student Affairs, her passion for mental health and counseling did not waiver. In 2020 she decided to return back to the University of Central Oklahoma to finish coursework needed to apply for Licensed Professional Counselor candidacy. After four years away, she is returning as the Director of Counseling and Mental Health and she is excited to return home to serve our students, faculty, and staff and support our amazing School Counselors. Please help us welcome Mrs. Bryant HOME to Mid-Del! #mdpurpose
