During the Special Board of Education meeting on Thursday, October 29, 2020, the Board voted unanimously (5-0) to untie Learning Plan options from the Oklahoma State Department of Health color-coded map. Students who selected in-person instruction will return to full-time in-person instruction beginning November 9, 2020 (ending the hybrid A/B model). We will continue to keep Wednesdays as remote learning days through December. In addition, we will pivot to all-remote learning if the number of available hospital beds in Oklahoma County drops below 5%. Students participating in the Mid-Del Virtual Academy will remain in MDVA.

Each week, the District posts the total number of positive COVID-19 cases on our website under the COVID-19 Information page. The information is also shared with our local newspaper, the Midwest City Beacon.

Members of Robert Kalsu's family were on hand for the rededication of Robert Kalsu Stadium on September 11. In addition, former teammates from Del City High School, the University of Oklahoma, and the Buffalo Bills were present for the celebration. The colors were presented by the University of Oklahoma ARMY ROTC Cadets. A presentation on behalf of the City of Del City was made by Senator Brenda Stanley, Representative Andy Fugate, and Mayor Floyd Eason. Head Coach Mike Dunn presented a football signed by the players to Bob Kalsu, Jr. Principal Gina Hill presented the Kalsu family with a framed picture of the new stadium.
Thank you to our community who provided these improvements to Robert Kalsu Stadium with the passage of the 2017 bond election.
