Dear Mid-Del Families,
We wanted to inform you about an important new policy that will be implemented starting in the 2025–2026 school year. Following the passage of Oklahoma Senate Bill 139, signed into law by Governor J. Kevin Stitt on May 3, 2025, all public school districts in Oklahoma, including Mid-Del Schools, are required to adopt policies that prohibit the use of cell phones and personal electronic devices during the instructional day.
This policy is designed to help create focused learning environments, ensuring that students remain engaged in their studies and maximize their time in class. The law goes into effect at the start of the 2025–2026 school year, and we will work together with our schools, families, and students to help everyone adjust to this change.
We can all play a part in helping our students scroll less and learn more. It truly takes a team effort to foster a space where every student can thrive, and we appreciate your support in this important initiative.
For more information about this policy, please visit our website at www.mid-del.net.
